Mmmm, my chassis numbers only go to 51, not 52, seems that my list only goes to early 1981, I was hoping that it was a little more complete than that

Oh well. Funny thing is all of the stage 1's in my list start with 100, not 52, i'm guessing yours is a wagon as my list doesn't seem to have any wagons.

I decided last night to buy a Series 3 Shorty.

I want a good runner in Brisbane for about $2500.

Preferably in or close to rego!

Must have landy 2 1/4 petrol Motor.
    Even better a soft top.
Roof of any kind purely optional!

    Any takers.

argh, yours must be off the end of my list as well. my list stops 24/03/1981 .

As for the diesel, nothing wrong with them, just not too many of them around really.

I have a Series 3 Stage 1 V8, 1981 model which we've had for the past 19 years. Like many it's been everywhere and done everything, had the odd home made mods and best of all has been a pretty reliable beast for the most part. Just been replaced by a new TD5 and has been relegated out of the garage and will soon be for sale although the heart would like to retain it. But we can't keep everything and there is a Series 1 under the house in an obscene state of undress which requires money and attention so the not as old girl will go soon.

Have you got a fuel tank under the drivers seat, Numpty? Where's your battery?

Don't know why I'm asking since, like yours, mine is living on borrowed time. But I've gone the minimum upgrade - V8 County still with the LT95.

Yes. 55 Litre tank (homemade) under drivers seat, filled through filler in seat box side. Batteries x 2 moved to modified box under passenger seat, with marine changeover switch mounted to front of seat box.

yes, but before the 5065 is a gap of 746 vehicles with no details noted from 18/4/1980 to 14/10/1980. Rather frustrating to have these gaps in the information that I have

Best I can do is if you still have the body number I can tell you it's sequence number off the assembly line if that is indeed it's chassis number.
I presume the body number is the other number on the British Leyland Cars plate.

    it is 41873
