cant stay logged in it seems

I know of the troubles recently and the added layers of security added to the site but for me the site has become neigh on unusable over the years. Allow me to explain.

A couple of years ago it started and I posted about that already, that in my firefox browser I would often not be able to log in. I have a lot of privacy aware plugings in that browser that may not help but they should be perfectly useable since they are on the majority of websites.

What happens is: I log in. I get to the "lets find a gear" page, get sent to the main page aaaand I'm logged out again. I figure that this is possibly a cookie thing, not entirely sure why but I could fix it most of the time by disabling "decentral eyes" for AULRO temporarily and relogging. No longer the case. In fact I am no longer able to log in with firefox at all, whatsoever.

Since I am using a mac I have safari installed by default so I use this to open up aulro for the time being, hoping a solution will eventually be found but... Although I can log in to the site (and am presented with ads, something I have not seen in decades but hey.) I can't seem to stay logged in. I'm pretty sure that by the time I have finished typing this message I will be asked to log in... again... Fortunately the software (cookies again no doubt?) save my message and post it once I logged in again.

Does anyone else have these problems? Are the maintainers aware of these problems? Could we even hope for a fix? I am in IT myself and run all sorts of web things so please, use me as a guinea pig for testing if needed

    Cheers,
    -P

Perhaps a new horse might help?

Mac here as well. No, I don't have the same issue, but I stopped using Safari some time ago, and for my general use I now use Brave. No ads here either. Might be worth a go. Secure, Fast, & Private Web Browser with Adblocker | Brave

Here I use Firefox under W10, with a VPN. All was well until around ten days ago.

On this site I was continually having to log in, at every item change. Only on this site, mind. All others were plain sailing.
Then over the last 36 hours I noticed that the situation started to get better. It now seems to be fixed.

Let's hope it stays that way.

I've had trouble putting up photos for the last six months and now have a separate issue.

I can now post photos, but can't view most photos on the forum. One or two photos will appear as 'Photos', but the majority appear as a link to their particular thread plus '.jpeg' or whatever file format is used.
When I hover my cursor over a 'Photo' (including my own), all I get is the black box with the spinning 'Thinking' icon.
When I try to access the 'Thread Link.jpeg' style, I go to the 'Log In' site, with a message that I'm not logged in.

My 'Robot Verification' works automatically most of the time, with only a random 'Tick the Box' request.

All minor things in my life really, especially when you own a D3.

I'm having to re log in to post most of the time. Using the mid screen log in works a lot better than the headline log in to post!

Not a huge issue. It seems across the board for browsers for me with Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

Yes. If I try to open a window/tab from scratch I get "this site cannot be reached". So I keep one open, so to speak. Brave, Safari, Firefox and Orion. However, Brave on my iPhone logs straight in after the Cloudflare malarkey.

Small price to pay to keep the site running. Just think, we could be on dial up.
