Not a huge issue. It seems across the board for browsers for me with Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

In fact I am no longer able to log in with firefox at all, whatsoever.
You are aware one of the purposes of Decentraleyes to block content delivery systems such as 'Cloud Flare' from delivering requested content, instead providing that requested content via local emulation.

    Decentraleyes -
a free and open-source browser extension used for local content delivery network (CDN) emulation. Its primary task is to block connections to major CDNs such as Cloudflare...

Do you also use multiple browser extensions aimed at tracking blocking / ad blocking - 'Privacy Badger, 'uBlock Origin', maybe others as well?

The developer of uBlock Origin, Raymond Hill, has said previously using multiple such addons in conjuction with uBlock Origin is not a good idea.

Seriously: Do NOT use similar-purposed blocker(s) along with uBlock Origin: this will cripple uBO's ability to defuse anti-blocker mechanisms and its ability to minimize likelihood of site breakage. ("similar-purposed" = any other blocker making use of EasyList).

Yes Ferret, I have it all

Decentraleyes, greasemonkey scripts, ublock origin, adblock plus (but I use them with white and blacklisting for certain sites), an auto cookie accepter, an auto cookie deleter, privacy badger etc etc. and I intend to keep on using them since I do not feel the need to be tracked into oblivion or have my screen slathered with ad's. To my surprise most of the sites I visit simply work, even with all that active including phpbb forum sites. vbullitin or the setup chosen however does not seem to play along unfortunately.

There are many many websites that check through cloudflare so I get the "check if you are human" thingy a lot and then move on and can work with the site behind it. aulro is one of the very few exceptions and imho that is a shame but it is what it is I guess Can't expect admins to put too much time into a privacy minded old bugger such as myself.

    However,

The fact that safari shows the same kind of behaviour, which does not have nearly as much plugin support as firefox and does not even have any plugins installed (except for my password manager) is however a bit worrying. I am not sure what is causing it but I will keep an eye on it and try to diagnose deeper when I have more time. For aulro I'll make the exception to use safari in the mean time.

Thanks for all the input and support to everyone thus far

its a constantly evolving environment as i try to ease the lock-downs but control the attacks...

i spend several hours each day trying to get a formula that is less invasive, but it isn't an easy thing to fix

the place serves 20k+ unique visitors per day and shifts about 10g of data a day via 1.5 million requests from over 180 countries

if something gets out of balance it has serious affects very quickly...

is all good fun they tell me....

"run a bbs/forum" they said. "it'll be fun!" they said...

I know that one :P I guess you ave it "bad" since the board is in english, let's be honest, that's how I got here as well. I figured the best place for me to hang around is in the country that tortures cars the most, they'll know best and! english is something that I should be able to manage.

My "luck" is that I run a board that is in dutch, so I get a 250K hits a day which is a lot less.

The biggest problems lately have been AI bots scraping the entire bloody site! When you check them out they tell you about copyright and how to (not) use their bot, whilst they got their data for "free" and I am footing the bill. expletive here... So I have a daytime job adjusting my robots.txt for those that respect that file anyway. -sigh-

    Cary on.

System seems to be running briskly this morning, and it appears to know I'm human without asking. Mind you, it could be wrong about that.

Yesterday, I selected the "Remember Me" option when logging in.
So far, this has appeared to fix my issues with photographs on the forum.
