Hmm. Is there a Queensland version of Victoria’s Red Plate Club?

						SupporterHi, Long time member,
been a supporter for a while now too.
I own 2x Land Rover discoveries, series 1, and Series 2.
Have owned the series 1 for 10x years and the series 2 for 2x years.
I have been a member for the past 9 months and have gained some good knowledge from this website and made a few friends.
I would like to register my 1992 Discovery 1 under the QLD concessions scheme for reduced rego, but would need a club letter.
How would I go about getting this done, and what details etc would be needed from me?
Thanks
David

Join a club. Different clubs have different rules and conditions covering such things as:
Make, model, type.
Modifications.
Social or rivet counters.
Minimum attendance at meetings or events.
Costs and fees.
Etc., etc..
LROC would be a good one to start with.

I know. It’s just that the Red Plate Club takes care of all the requirements of membership that you mention. I just wondered if something similar exists up there.Originally Posted by V8Ian;[URL="tel:3228563"

The OP and I are from Queensland, that's the scheme relivant and under discussion.
We have no idea what a red plate club is and it is probably irrelevant to Queensland.

No need to get uppity. I simply asked if there was something similar up there.Originally Posted by V8Ian;[URL="tel:3228567"
But FYI, the RPC is a club that helps facilitate the process of getting a club permit on eligible cars without the need for joining a car club with all the politics that can come with that.
Sorry if my question wasted your valuable time.

Not uppity at all. The only red plates we have are personal plates. There's not much point going into a protracted conversation about irrelevance.
