I haven't laughed so much for a long time.

    Loved it thank you.

Noting a very good book about HMAS ###### cruiser discussed the capture of a Merchant ship in the Indian Ocean. They then decided to shoot for Target practice. Thousands of rounds later the crew and captain of the German ship probably wondered about their Surendar to us Just one scratch on the ship. EOD types (who may have been Divers) set demolition charges to sink it.

Our ship did learn to shoot straight and went of to a very honorable service.

(Not named as a lot of our sailors died on her when she was in action.)

Middle aged growth of a sailor!

When I left the Navy in the "Noughties" . I put everything I owned into my kitbag and a gear sack on the back of my BMW (bike).

Two fishing rods sticking up in the air between them. Most of that KIT did a very long way around trip from Sydney, Melb, Adelaide, Perth Shark Bay and a bit more

I am packing up and shipping out again today. All my clothes would almost certainly still fit on that motor bike. Not moving thousands of KM this time- I will be soon

My boat, tools and other bits like NON Navy Diving kits wouldn't fit .

I trust there is a good internet connection where your Killick falls? it would be a bit handy if it fell onto a Russian Underesea Cable.

Fess up- Ever do and belly flop?

A amazing Diver mucked up and got Zero during the Olympic Diving. She did a few summersaults more than my worst 10 metre dive where I DID lose my pants

    Fess up Have you?

Moment Mexican diver scores ZERO points with dive branded 'terrible' by BBC pundit after failed appeal in Olympics 3m springboard qualifiers (msn.com)

EDIT- Thankfully no mobile phones existed and no photos of my bare butt in the minute or two it took to recover my shorts!

At least she had a go! Why focus on the poor girl's stuff up. Are we going to ridicule every athlete who doesn't give a perfect performance every time?
She's obviously got above average diving talent, after all, she made the Olympics.

Not aimed at you James, at the pathetic media who place dollars above everything.

NavyDiver a.k.a. James, a question for you!

I see that the Patrol Boat 'Broome' has reached the end of her service. Now I reckon that, with a bit of a civvy fit out, you could make a pretty comfy, private vessel out of her.

Any idea how one would go 'Making an Offer', and to whom? (Perhaps she'll go to the Philippines, Fiji or such?)

Also, how are those boats in a sea? I'm thinking that they may be a bit tender?

Maybe salvage her from an artificial reef.
