Hi,
With a 2 story house, the roof is at a dizzying heights so I have fashioned fittings similar to rock climbing gear and ratchet strap the ladder to the brickwork. Various plank supports and chains give me a secure working surface, but I spend more time setting up and putting away than I do working. Three points of contact at all times makes painting a bit tedious.

Just heard that I'm having more surgery on Thursday. That's ok.

That's one way to lose weight.

Yeah, but if they keep taking it from one side I'll be walking around in circles.
