The falling over - lying down trick is best avoided as we age. Hope you are pain free in a short time.
My kids gave me a set of walking poles after my last fall when my legs did their own thing. The problem is, you never know when you will need them.

My neighbours have palpitations when they see me with a ladder. I can walk fine but it was like stepping on ice. When I was younger I probably wouldn't have hit my head.
