Pound of flesh eh? But I’ve lost 20kgs in the last 18 months, you’d think that was enough.

I guess the takeaway here, the reason I started this thread is this: If I hadn't fallen last year and fractured my back I would not have a clue I had this. I'm not in the habit of feeling for lumps... well, I wasn't. I was asked to come in for a follow up scan for that injury. This thing showed up in that.

Sorry to hear this John, hopefully something can be done, it's a lot different now compared to the recent past.

    All the best.

    Cheers

Just another adventure, James. I'm not going away yet, only part of me is....

Often happens that way. I had a blood test for lead levels. (I am a black powder shooter and cast my own bullets). Apart from the lead being a bit elevated they said you have a high monocyte count. We need more tests. So turns out I have a rare blood disorder (Only 2 in 100,000 get it) and there is no cure or treatment and they gave me an expiry date of 27 months. That was nearly 2 years ago. I am ignoring it and just getting on with life. I think I will exceed their expiry date but by how much, who knows.
    Hang in there John.

    Hang in there John.
Indeed. My sister was diagnosed with the beautifully named glioblastoma multiforme 4, a highly aggressive form of brain tumour. After surgery they gave her three to six months. She got six years and saw her youngest kid have her baby. They weren't by any means the best six years, but she still got 'em.

Be lying if I said I wasn't a tad apprehensive though.

Mammogram. My attempts to get the pretty young nurse operator to switch places with me were sadly unsuccessful

Tuesday. Starts with a lymphocintigram, whatever the hell that is, but it involves nuclear medicine, so at least James will be pleased...🙂. Followed by a good sleep while they do unspeakable things to me...
