    Diesel additives

    Could someone please remind me of the name of the additive that kills the algae? Something to do with Maintenance.

    CEM, Cost Effective Maintenance ?

    There are a number of different suppliers, Penrite, Nulon, Lucas.......

    The generic term is a biocide. It is not algae. Algae requires light. The microbes are bacteria or fungi.

    Get a good supply of fuel filters, because after you have killed the crap it very quickly clogs up the filter.

    No, just misused! In the same category as confusion between bacteria (e.g. cholera), parasites (e.g. malaria), viruses (e.g. smallpox) and prions (e.g. scrapie).
