With a very cool nurse yesterday. Had a running watch on. She was a diver and surfer from Portland Vic. We chatted about Abalone, seals and of course or GREAT WHITES

She had been snorkeling with seals in a tinny with three others all day. Kelp fowled the propeller so she jumped into clear it. Her mates started yelling loud enough she could her it underwater! When she surfaced her mates pulled her straight into the boat. Her cool GREAT WHITE was at least 4 metres long and swam quietly with them for more than 30 minutes watching them.

She mentioned the big black eye seemed almost dead

She has swam with whale sharks and much less dramatic fish. My 6 metre tiger shark yarn of a Warship new Newcastle NSW was funny as I didn't even hit the water RIP the pilot of course!

A few of the other medical crew had jaw dropping moments while we had fun chatting

You seem to have forgotten about bats, complete with Hendra virus and Australian Lyssa virus.

A bloke died recently after being bitten by a bat. Apparently lyssa virus.

Yep, A whole four people have succumbed, according to that article. But I've never trusted bats, or flying foxes. But bats just make my point. On the South American continent they have vampires...

More people in Australia are killed by bees, than any other animal. Let's just keep that a secret from the Yanks. No need to encourage them.

I have to defend the bees as two of my ancestors were very involved in bee-keeping and both wrote books about the subject. I suspect that those people were actually killed by their immune systems over reacting to bee venom and probably could have been saved by an epi-pen.
