Did somebody mention gloves ?
Once again The Land Rover Experience never ceases to amaze.
At about 3pm we had a call go out over the radio that a Guy had crashed his Quad Bike and dislocated his shoulder.
Without any hesitation nor complaints the whole convoy stopped, turned around, re crossed a lagoon to lend a helping hand, to a perfect stranger.
The had guy managed to re-locate his shoulder with a little help from a Rangie B pillar (Thanks Chris) before most had arrived.
After he was fixed up.
We turned our attention to recovering his Quad bike. Which had managed to find its way down a narrow goat track the otherside of a deceivingly high sand dune. Those that were smart enough to drive up or were fit enough to run up started the process (thanks for those who offered the lift to the fat bloke carring the bag full of recovery gear) (BLOODY BIG HILL!!!! ). Without much fuss the bike was returned to its rightful owner. Who was offered the Comfort of a ride in a Land Rover back to Civilisation and having one of our group ride the bike back for him. Didn't take him long to accept our offer ( Must have been the pain).
Whislt most where helping to recover the quad (or still walking that Friggin hill) The quad rider asked a few of the girls what club we where from, their reply was that we weren't from a club, yet a online forum named AULRO.
He later said to Mrs's Yabbie that he was amazed how many cars/people responded to help him and how in all his time riding he had never seen such a response. He then told her that he may just get himself a landrover and join. Tuff way to convert the masses, but 1 more still 1 more.
Job well done guys and girls.
Just another prime example of just how sociable the people from AULRO are or perhaps it is just a Land rover thing.
Either way I like it.
P.S. I've still got dibbs on the glove![]()

When we heard that he'd popped his own shoulder back in using the Rangie a collective ooohh aaaaargh was heard thoughout my car.
I know it is best to do such a task straight away, but the thought of doing it to oneself without any medication.
Not for me
As for the glove, the rider apparently threw his glove after dislocating his shoulder (fair enough I would imagine). Yabbie found his glove in the bushes.
What Yabbie was doing by himself, in the bushes, I don't want to know. Also why on earth he'd want just one solitary glove?
( callous prevention maybe?)![]()

Only having been on this forum a short time, one of the many things that impresses me is how members help out. Impressive, all who were there. Well done.
