I know a guy who owns a specialised warehousing & logistics business at Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. He tells employments agencies not to send prospective employees who have "tough pictures, hardware, and purple mohawks" (or other ugly hairstyles).

In this day and age of anti descrimination it's hard to imagine but it does happen a lot.

It is a shame, but thats life

    OK.... Enough....

1.. He only had 2 hours free after all that so the band has been blacked in that is all. Next visit is 24th October

2.. I dont consider my artwork TOUGH or a SCAR

    From Wikipedia:

Scars are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal skin after destruction of some of the dermis. A scar results from the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound (e.g. after accident, disease, or surgery) results in some degree of scarring.

    Which is totally different to......

Scarification is a permanent body modification that uses scar tissue produced by the body to form designs, pictures, or words in the skin. Scars are most often formed by cutting or branding the skin. Scarification is sometimes called cicatrization (from the French equivalent).

    Which is different AGAIN to....

A tattoo is a mark made by inserting pigment into the skin: in technical terms, tattooing is micro-pigment implantation. Tattoos may be made on human or animal skin. Tattoos on humans are a type of body modification, while tattoos on animals are most often used for identification.
Tattooing has been a nearly ubiquitous human practice. The Ainu, the indigenous people of Japan, wore facial tattoos. Tattooing was widespread among Polynesian peoples, and in the Philippines, Borneo, Africa, North America, South America, Mesoamerica, Europe, Japan, Cambodia and China. Despite some taboos surrounding tattooing, the art continues to be popular all over the world.

But I'd definately appreciate if this thread could be locked....

Some people seem to have no tolerance of difference, or are over voiced, over opinionated persons.

In this instance I need no chill pill, but choose to end this topic before I get banned or moderated.

Tombraider........ Please dont have the thread locked. I for one, AM interested to see the final result. I agree that all members are entitled to our own opinions, and at the same time agree that some went too far.

    Mate,

don't take offence - it's whatever your floats your boat.

You like it, it's yours, if others don't - they don't have to

He doesn't consider it discriminatory but rather self preservation. He believes he is keeping antisocial d--kheads with head problems off his payroll.

A CES Senior Case Manager once told me how he classified tats.
    (1) Professional art. No spelling mistakes.
    (2) Home art. Usually done ****ed or drugged. (Both of them). Poor quality linework and bad spelling.
    (3) Gaol art. As per (2) but done over a period of years and showing variations in colour, and skill level.

This guy, a CES operator of thirty years experience, was adamant that very few employers will employ a moving picture gallery.

    Wearing my passion
I'd been thinking about this for some time, so tonight we stepped up and made a start....

Decided to wear my passion on my sleeve so to speak...

Outline done tonight, 2 weeks to heal, then the details go on!

Other shoulder is getting something special too, in about 2 months!

    Cheers
    Tombraider
This is Tombraider allowing those that want to an opportunity to see his new tattoo which he is proud of... it was not meant to be a debate about peoples feelings on tattoos, whether people should have them, or any other topic than showing of His Passion.

The debate that has been happening is now finished as requested by the author of this post which was hijacked.
