    System problems?

    Was there some sort of a glitch on AULRO last night? Several posts I made seem to have disappeared, and I notice there appear to be no posts between about 7pm and 9pm - usually a fairly busy time. Also I remember yesterday evening that AULRO seemed to be unavailable several times (came back when reloaded, but was the only site affected). At the time I thought this was because I had another browser window doing some heavy downloads (Google Maps).

    there were some server hardware upgrades happening to help cope with the increased load.

    there will be some software upgrades occurring shortly as well... i just have to work up the balls to fit them.....

    some features may vanish for a little while during the process....

    I had the same problems too Inc.


    I think I posted nearly 11,000 posts between that time, all quality post too. Can I have those added to my post count please I mean fairs fair I invested alot of effort into writing them.

    When you say some features will disappear during the upgrade I suppose you mean temporarily and that we won;t have to reload images into galleries, repost posts etc etc ?

    What sort of software upgrades are we talking about ? Do tell.

    just addon stuff like the couloured templates and other shiny bits and pieces that i have fitted over the std system...

    there is always a risk of losing something, theres computers involved

    having backups is fine, but somethings just like to be difficult...

    Has someone done a cost / benefit analysis ?

    The Defender boys certainly can live without any new shiny colours or fancy bits
