I'd rather have that new RR III for $22,000 that's in Esperence.

The only issue with sticking to a LR if you intend to do extended remote touring in this country is the lack of service or parts in remote or semi remote areas, with a Tojo you usually can get parts and a mechanic who has seen the type of vehicle before, not always easy with a LR and there is a limitation to what spares and parts you can take with you.

Spares and service access during extended travel in remote parts of this country would be the only reason why I would consider one, plus they are able to be accessorised with any or everything that opens and shuts for touring.

I have done most of my remote area touring in Holden Kingswoods. That solves any problems you might have with parts availability. The local corner store usually stocks Kingswood parts!

For those who have looked on that site, check your PCs for viruses/trojans. The FPC sites (OL, Two Wheels, Hot 4s, etc., have been hacked. My son (Bucko) is the site(s) admin.

When I went on OL last night I got a trojan warning from my AV software.

Ron you could aways put a HS2.8 diesel in the P38 (mines bolted in NOW (finnally) and dear I say it for fear of jinxing it "almost there" )
If you wanted to take it a step further, change the trans to non-electronic disco 1 trans
that would mean barring a major mechanical (braking something) failure (diff or similar & you should be able to have all that checked out before you leave) you can tour this great country of ours in first class luxury
with no computers to worry about, The BECM and air susp ECU can be "got around" without an electronic engine to it keep it mobile (to remove another ECU you could even (yuk) go coils (gag)
I'm planning (unfortunately my plans do change to often??) on keeping my wife's P38 with 2.8 as a tourer
I'll never fit 35" mudtyres and do the rain forest challenge but it'll be a damm nice long distance tourer (esp if only 1 or 2 people maybe a bit small for family of 5?)

Firstly, give yourself demerit points for excessively correct English.

Secondly, for $32,000, you can have my County, plus the Stage 1, plus the Hyundai plus have money to kit all three for travelling... and have some left over for parts that break.

If you'd only left out the Hyundai, I'd have snapped up the offer.

OK, I'll drop the Hyundai, but that will cost extra
