OK, finally finished my pod & console. Here's some pics:

I now have volt meter for main batt., tach and boost gauges in the top pod, with volt meter for the Aux batt., vac. for the maxi lockers and air pressure for the onboard air tanks in the centre section.

The big red light is for the low coolant alarm (together with a buzzer).

The bottom section shows the amount cut off to fit with Aus spec A/C. I also made a couple of small brackets out of gavl sheet and used the existing screws in the fascia of the A/C. This gave me something to screw the bottom of the console to.

EGT gauge and a new mechanical temp gauge sit in the factory dash, with the fuel gauge moved over to the far right.

No, if you're no putting anything "Deep" in the centre, I reckon you could get away without cutting the original dash.

For anyone about to do this, a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade was the quickest, least messy way of cutting the old dash up.
