However, I did hear rumours that Alto Newcastle were instrumental in MM losing a dealership. Dungog is very close to Newcastle and people preferred going to see the Rumbles at MM.

Dunno why they closed. I know of people driving west to buy off them rather than off Sydney dealers.

that would be rite alto newcastle is a joke they should have lost their dealership with l/r they call themselves l/r specialists thats crap they dont know a thing about service or costomer care its blody wrong why rumbles was pulled has me stuffed and now we have to put up wih alto its a joke alto should stick to saab cause they dont know a thing about l/r cal415 will back me up on this cause they stuffed his d2 and then they got all 4x4 to have a go and they stuffed up and it had to go back and now alto and all4x4 dont have a busniss relationship anymore .

so up here in newcastle we have the problem of a dodgy dealer and an overpriced spares dealer/wrecker it sucks big time

BRING BACK RUMBLES IS ALL I CAN SAY NOW ...

No, they survived the first one, i think, i am pretty sure it happened earlier this year. Dissapointing really because there were a good dealer, they only had one salesman who specialised in the selling of land rovers but he was good and would always stand around and chat with me even though he knew i wasnt in the market for a new one. Its dealers like that that should be kept open. Matt

One of the LROC club members was a LR salesman at Bathurst - for the life of me I can't remember his name even though I've been 4WDing with him. He had a red D1. His name will come to me.

No, I've never bought anything from them. Wait, I might have at a 4WD swap meet some years back.

I don't understand why LRA didn't let some dealers at least stay on as authorised service agents. What a waste of experience and knowledge and surely detrimental to the brand.

Who wants to drive 1000km for a service?
