Correction - I actually went in there on Sat. All they had was an almost new 130DC - and it had a sold sticker on it.Originally Posted by isuzurover
I found George OK, but then I was buying a $100K car and there was a fair amount of time 'invested' in me. I did notice that there was no love lost between the sales staff at Southern! And the Sales Manager (whatever his name was) was a complete and utter prat!
You could try Sean Farrell at Gold City in Kal. He organised my first drive of the D3 and I have always found him really helpful!

If that George is the same bloke I dealt with he's no Pom he's a Scot and was a complete pain in the backside when I bought my Defender.
I looked at a S/H Defender which was quite good but his price against a new one from LR in Esperance was a difference about 4 grand only.
A vast difference from the 52000 I was quoted by Barbagallo's.
George wouldn't stop phoning me and grizzling that I wasn't going to buy his car and even accused me of being "un-principled"!
That's rich coming from a used car salesman!
And his fat greasy looking boss was sneaking around my Disco while I was having a demo and offered 12 grand for it even after I said it wasn't for sale.
Not to them anyway and I got 20 grand selling privately but it took a bit of time.
Eventually I told the pair of them to eff off and the phone calls stopped.
Barbagallo and Southern suffer from lost sales and servicing because the quality of their staff varies so much from the good to the bleeding awful and that shows from the posts here and elsewhere on the internet.
