    Does anyone know how the bow of the ship got bent - almost doubled over ?

    Was there with the kids in Oct this year and there is SFA left of it

    and did a bit of cutting and shutting -

    a long slow death by stealth. very sad......

    Given old ships are worth nothing, someone should another up the beach, during a storm, of course.....

    Oh, silly me. I suppose its different to the sygna on Stockton, its hard to get to that as its a way of shore, but with this one being right up on the beach its hard to keep people off. Has anyone ever been hurt on it, like falling through a rusted piece of deck or something?

    It's OK - in a few years someone will get planning approval to build a replica as a dedicated tourist trap - or maybe a piece of modern sculpture highlighting the negative space left by the original. Could have a laser-light show which strobes out morse code signals about the glory of the Australian wilderness and the environmental rape of our natural assets or something... Maybe an installation made entirely of papier mache which is replaced each fortnight by local Druids...
