    Tombraider to sponsor the French

    Hi Guys
A WELL DONE to Tombraider.Mike has offered to do a upgrade to Robert and Martines TD5 as it is "struggling a tad" to pull the 3.2 T Defender.
I showed Robert the current posts you guys have posted on Tombraiders upgrade. He was so impressed he is willing to forgoe his Land warranty to have it done.
Great stuff Mike, they are doing the trip on a pretty tight budget and any help we can provide is a bonus to them. They have a budget of $30AU a day!!!!!
I know a lot of you are waiting to get a Tombraider upgrade, please reccomend him to other non AULROians.
    THANKS MIKE

Well - this just adds to the fact that Mike is an all round top bloke. He sent me his old bump stops for free - and they have been bumping very nicely thanks.

I encourage us all to save up and get the upgrade done, and encourage others. I cant wait to head to Whyalla and get it done, and then head off with him to test it out in some sand :-)

$30AU/day they are nuts, you could only do 100km a day and not be able to eat.

Good work Mike, well done mate. Matt

depends how often you move right? if you only drive long distance once a week, then $30/day is not too bad... assuming you don't have to pay for accoms very often.

well whether its $30 a day plus fuel or $30 for everything they have managed to travel from France through Northern Europe through to Soutehrn Europe across Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Gulf States to Oz so it must be a workable budget.

Considering the amount of time they are travelling for, $30 per day seems to be a nice budget, It could be achievable, you just have to forgo any luxuries along the way.
