Thread: how funny "my idea"

hey anyone watch top gear this evening, with clarkson racing a car on the playstation and the same car and track in real life to see if he can get the same time......

well this is no word of a lie i emailed the producer of top gear about well probably nearly 2 years ago now with that very idea!!!!!

as i had seen the making of some car racing games for consoles such as xbox and play station and at the time was playing gotham racing on xbox live.....racing people all over the world on tracks all over the world.......and in the making of these games they reckon that they make the cars handling as real to life as they can and the tracks as near perfect to to the real excisting track......so i emailed the producer saying why dont you try racing on an xbox and using the same car and track to see if you can prove what the games creators say!!!!!!

If you're talking about the Hampsters crash then it's in the first episode of the new season(season 9). They only just showed episode 4 of this season last night in the UK so it must have been about 3 weeks ago they showed it. They had the Hampster talking them through it & they all agreed at the end of the show that it would never be mentioned again.

For those that are interested, in the second episode(I think), James takes the Bugatti Veyron around the VW test track in Germany & finds that Bugatti's claim of 253MPH(!!!!!) is in fact correct. He gets it up to the 407km/h top speed on the 5.5mile straight they have there & seems to think it didn't seem much different to drive at 400K to 200K, apart from his eyes watering & the scenery going all blury. He says that at that speed, the tyres will only last for 15 minutes, but that's OK as it'll run out of petrol in 12! This thing runs 16 cylinders & 4 turbos to pump out just over 1000hp & it still has all the luxury trimmings to boot.

Episode 3 sees them taking to the USA where they have $1000 each to buy a car & drive it across several states. Very funny episode, especially the rednecks in Alabama.

Episode 4, don't know, I'll watch it tomorrow!

Aparently due to the crash & other things, there's only 6 episodes in this season.
