In this situation it does. As Tomby mentioned, it would turn a great vehicle into a rough riding box of you know what.

Hey BigJon, spend a few days on the Gold Coast!

you'll find 30" wheels on everything - 20" is passe and 24" is getting there -

my dad lives on Isle of Capri at GC and has many neighbours with large black 4wd vehicles like F250, Hummer, RR etc (none of which go 'offroad' by their appearance) but are shod with enormous wheels - gotta keep up with eh Joneses eh?

The interesting thing about these rides is that like all vehicles they'll depreciate dramatically and having done about 1000 ks a year will be good buys in maybe ten years or so - then - off with the bling wheels - and off we go....

believe it or not (and nearby to dad) - there is an F250 dualcab lwb ute (with the wheels) - which is a shopping buggy for a nearby school kid delivering mum - amazing...... (the truth is always stranger than fiction)

I spent a few days there around Chrissy / New Years. You would need a 10 000 pound winch to drag me back to that hellhole . I can't for the life of me imagine why people would want to live in big city, when there is so much of the rest of Australia to spread out in .

    You're damn right there mate.

I can't understand why people queue in traffic, and get all road ragey over parking spaces, to go to a shopping centre.

I wonder what people did before the advent of places like Pacific Fair or that one on Kath and Kim, Fountain Gate?

I live about 2 clicks from Fountain Gate ( the real one). I avoid it like the plague. But not many "bling" 4WD's around here.
