    Oregon Chainsaw Bar

    Is anyone able to do a search to see which saws a particular model bar fits?

    I have a near new 20" Oregon Pro-lite bar - # 208SLHD009

    I am pretty sure this is the wrong bar for my saw as the oil-feed hole doesn't seem to be in the right place.

    I can tell you this much..
    20 = 20 Inch bar
    8 = 058" (Thickness of chain- IE groove thickness)
    SL = sprocket nose
    H= nose radius - big deal
    D009 = motor mount type
    The Oregon book- "product catalogue & application guide" I have is 1985 and D009 is not listed. Maybe a mower shop can help as this book is updated all the time

    Thanks Andy - looks like mine is a bit more than that - hole would have to move 2mm or so!!! There are apparently 2 different oregon mounts. My bar should be a 200, not a 208. But I contacted the guy I bought it off and he says he didn't know, and will send me a new bar and chain.

    I brought a Oregon bar and chain off ebay last year for my Stilh, 16 inch. Even though it had it listed as fitting there was no way it was ever going to do that (different sprocket spacing)

    Shame as it looks the goods. I will get the model # and see if any one off the site wants it.

    If the bar and chain fit your saw, just the sprocket doesn't suit the chain, then why not get a new sprocket? They are usually only $30 or less.
