    ha!

Anyone at the Bondi Lifesaver around 1974-6? I was a soundmixer for a few gigs, mostly Rose Tattoo and Ted Mulry.....

Yep saw the Tats there in 77, and a couple of other bands back then, the concert in Victoria Park and the concert of the decade, steps of the Opera House were good, MOST of the bands that played the Lifesaver, the Tram, Serlinas had to be good or they got heaps.

Of all the aussie bands i've seen live only a few stand out that were good and better than their recordings Matt Finish, the Angels, Midnight Oil, Gallapgus Duck, and ACDC (Bon Scott) would be my standouts.

well well quiggers, we may have brushed rubbed shoulders before at the Lifesaver, as I said earlier, rose tatto and the skyhooks were my favourites there, ted mulry, maybe but can't remember,
in those days it was more about who you took there,
were you working there when they blew up the fruit shop next door?

Machine Gun ********. I can listen to it over and again and they put on a good old fashioned rock event but with the full complement of sideshow freaks. Saw them at the Arena a couple times; a place where bottled water outsells alcomahol 3 to 1.

The Stones Voodoo Lounge tour at ANZ stadium in '96 (backed by the Cruel Sea, one of my other play to death favourites, I got my money's worth that time) Very impressed with Mick Jagger running up and down that gantry for 2+ hours non stop. Impressed with Keith cause he wasn't dead.

D21C (half the Doors) recent tour. Ray Manzarek is just mesmerising period. My brother worked that gig too and got Robbie to sign an old album for me.
Also the Australian Doors show was a top tribute band, I saw in the new year at Fishermans Wharf at the GC. The last big hoorah before it closed and the band went to europe and never saw them here again.

The Radiators @Young B&S, still have the sticker on my beer fridge
INXS @ Orange Ex Services Club, Just as they had released Burn for You and hit the big time, awesome concert
The Angels, numerous locations, not all of which I can remember
Redgum, also at Orange Ex Servies, 103 people including me, my mate and the band, didn't stop them putting on an awesome show though.
DO RE MI, the loudest concert I've ever been to @ what is now a cinema in Bathurst.
The Eurogliders at the top of their game in January 1984 at the playhouse on the Gold Coast

    Regards,
    Tote

worst idea was motley crue in about '89ish.
i had hearing damage for a week. the guitarist spat out at the audience, my mate wore a little and took offence, so he lobbed a big sticky one straight back at the filthy pig. it stuck in his long long hair and all over his fretboard. nikki six was livid and glared at my mate for the next hour solid, we all were in stitches, but convinced we were going to punch on with them at the end of the show.

Do unto others, as you would have others , do unto you?

Your dead right there ZOOK. There is a complete lack of respect and manners, shown in a lot of modern muso's attitude.
Most of the band names in this post, I have never heard of.
Hmm, I must be getting old-ish.

    Shorty.
