    Famous people.

    Hello to all again,

Having started the Best bands thing, I got to thinking of famous people that we may have met. Suzi Quatro being the most famous musician that I have actually spoken too and for about 10 minutes. So I thought about others that I have met, shaken hands with and had a conversation with albiet briefly.

Michael Caine. Book signing in Melb.
Charlton Heston. Book signing in Melb.
The Queen. Gatwick airport terminal opening in 1988.(I have the photo too)
Pat Rafter. Shared a lift with him in Noosa back in 98. There is a really funny story to go with it but would take too long to type.

I'd love to gossip, but, if I tell you, I have to shoot both of us.

    Shorty.

Well l've met every Prime Minister of Australia on more than one occasion and had either breakfast lunch or dinner and few drinks with them from Gough Whitlam to John Howard.

Must say the two l was most impressed with were Gough and Paul

The one l respect the most since leaving office for their views and work is Malcom.

So depending on your politics they fit both the famous and infamour catergories

    OK

I had dinner with Richard Clapton at Kings Cross, we had the only table left in the resturant that had room enough for them, so we let them sit with us.

Then a dance with Renye Gayer later that night at the Mansel room night club, big girl and very nice to talk too, a very interesting night

I've also met Wayne Gardner, Kenny Roberts, Barry Sheen (what a top Bloke) Wayne Rainey and Keven Bartlett (another top bloke) he took me for a spin around Eastern creek

Have also raced against Paul and Shaun Giles (watched Shaun grow up racing bikes from his first meeting at Fairburn Park.
    Cheers Baz.

My sister went to school with that blonde chick that was famous for a little bit. Forget her name but was in the first dodgy tv band 'Bardot' and that movie that was like 'Scary Movie' but wasn't. She used to come over to our house sometimes.

    Very memorable obviously

I wouldn't call concerts meeting someone but went to the last Gympie Music Muster and saw quite a few famous people (the singers) wandering around in the crowd.

EDIT: Just did a Google search and it was Sophie Monk and the movie was Date Movie.

Second go at this, buggered up the phots,
now let me see, famous or infamous, infamous always conjured up all sorts of things,
let me start with the bad guys, arrested Sallie ann Huckstep once, she was a great liar.
gangland bosses, Tony eustace wasn't a bad bloke always knew which horse was going to win, too bad someone shot him, Mick Sayers always pleasant, but he too went by the way of the bullet.
    Murray Farquar, very shifty,
most of them you wouldn;t cross the road to speak to them, unless of course you were working, good crooks for CIU's.
    back to resonable people,
robert ballard, at a book launch, very interesting bloke
Barry Humphries a real gentleman ( when he was in a suit)
Sting and Bob Geldoff, quietly spoken both of them.
    the previous popes bodyguards,

Policiticians all seem to be tarred with the same brush, a conversation with neville wran convinced me he wasn't a nice man.
That US woman Madelaine Albright when clinton was here in 95 I think, typical yank though she could do what she wanted, her opening line,' Do you know who i am...' fancy saying that to a nsw copper who isn't impressed ( me)
    famous aussies
michael diamond, russell mark, suzy balogh, clive and george barton
Countess Pinky Le grelle , british comm games skeet shooter, lesley goddard, the whole irish trap team(always in the bar at the village)
Mike Munro, no he doesn't count he is only a journo.
I know some more famous ones, at least they told me they were famous( probably to get in the photo)

can't remember her name she won a gold medal i think

This bloke was famous didn't he do an ad

    they looked famous

so there my commonwealth games experience meant i rubbed shoulders with them all , after all they all took pity on the Falklands Team.

even this bloke and his girl , again taking pity talking to our Chef De Mission Patrick.
