If you pushed it, the only cost would be food for yourself.

In 2001 I had my XF Falcooon and my 16ft Hobie Cat trucked from Perth to melbourne for $1000 with a boat carrier (quote was $600 for the boat and $400 for the car).
When I contacted the boat moving guy he just asked me to drop them at a depot and he would pick them up when it was convenient for him, they were there about 3 weeks before he took them, fine if you are in no hurry.
None of the car moving companies were interested in the boat, that's why I contacted a boat moving company. Both were loaded on at the same time as a 38ft Keel boat. They don't care if it's running or not as they are used to lifting stuff on and off, not many keel boats can drive on

Playing my tune there, discobunny
think laterally!!!
As an aside, when I spent some time with Daihatsu many moons ago, a car was $A150 Daihatsu Japan - Aussie and that was to any of the cap cities; as the ro-ro (ships) dropped off throughout the south pacific.......
given the ro-ro's become empty, as they must, why not try a ro-ro backload?
