From what I know it is the percentage of Styrene (SBR), that influences the characteristics of tyre rubber. And I suppose in turn, the same for inner tubes.
Some facts here:
So very, very tyred - Renew
Well now. My wife purchased a 6 hook, hanging rack for the laundry from the Big Shed. Of course, it came with its own screws.
Over the years, I learnt to avoid using any supplied fixings, as they tend to be made of some type of metal variant, which is not suitable for the application a screwdriver.
Surely not, this time, I thought. A simple rack, I thought.
Nuh! First screw started head stripping, half way in, even after I went up a bit dia., over the bit I would normally use. :toilet::censored::censored:
Where is the best place around Nth. Brissie to buy a container of quality, various sized, wood, masonry etc. screws?
I think they make them out of cheese.
I got diddled recently, - My fault for rushing...
Needed a cheap digital watch for the school bus, something like a classic Casio 91W, y'know, those $10 black plastic/rubbery things from our distant youth - whose battery lasted for YEARS.
Anyway, scouring evilBay I settled on a slightly up-market model, A168W. chromed body and S/Steel strap. - Like all the richer kids at school used to flaunt. Now it has the nice blue glowing blue backlit screen, Around $28. But when it arrived.... Chinese knock-off, same useless LED as the 91.[bawl]
Try again. This time an unashamed clone ... with a functional light. $14. This is now wrapped around a steering wheel spoke. [biggrin]. Convenient and removable.
Of course, a week later... browsing for a belt in K-Mart and.... $15 for their digital, G-Shock look-a-like with a bigger display and blinding backlight... only $15, almost tooo bright at night. !
Wife is NOT favourably disposed to my diver's watch lume, disturbing her beauty-sleep !
To cap it off, stumbled across my original 91W. Deaded of course, but a $5 battery sorted it for next 7 to 10 years... [bigsad]
Probably would have been cheaper to buy a VDO clock for the bus and be done with it !. [bigwhistle]. - Thought I'd say it before anyone else does.
Recently got a cheap motorcycle that need a few items fixed.
Suzuki SV650S ?
The gear lever was broken so a new one is needed, a quick Ebay search throws up loads of them.
Ordered and arrived quickly so today I decided to fit it.
Some minor fettling needed but all seemed OK until I went to connect the gear change linkage rod. Struggled and couldn't get the thread to start in the angled ball joint.......I wonder ?
It should be left hand thread but it was right hand thread !!!
About to claim but checked the advert wording, in red it stated RH thread not LH.
So.....not actually fit for purpose but as it's made clear in the advert I will have no come back !
Managed to find angle ball joints on Ebay with LH thread so another $20 and hopefully the problem can be resolved.
Colin
Come on, keep up😉
