The QANTAS flight on which I was booked has had a mechanical failure andn the Sydney flight has been cancelled. We've been here at Broome airport for 4 hours. We are awaiting an engineer to arrive from Perth - and his plane is now running late.
Owing to the problem, we won't be able fly into Sydney tonight owing to the curfew so we'll have to go to Perth (getting there around 8.30pm and catch the redeye from Perth around midnight arriving Sydney 6am tomorrow. I've been up since about 3am.
Now I've just realised I left my brand new Akubra hat on the first (failed) bus. :(
