The vendor has confirmed the courier has lost the parcel, one of many it seems. The vendor has shipped another set of discs.

If you think Startrack has issues.....

I had 2 parts, on the same purchase order, from the same supplier end up on 2 different consignment notes, with consecutive numbers....

Toll Priority managed the overnight part on the SECOND con note..... but have no idea where the first one is.....

The good new. The second shipment of Brembo discs arrived today.

The bad news - not related to the above.

A few years back I bought a Coleman Black Cat catalytic heater for camping.

I never got around to using it until last weekend. I took it away with me as I expected the weather would be cool.

When I tried to screw a gas canister onto it, I found the threaded fitting had been cross-threaded and the canister wouldn't screw on. The canister lost a lot of gas before I gave up.

Naturally, I can't return the item, I bought it on a clearance from a shop that no longer exists. The heater was a display unit.

    Gaaaahhhh!

No, not possible owing to design. I'll wait until I have an empty canister and then I'll modify the end of the canister to become a thread tap.

Today, I received from the USA a Wolverine PicPac portable hard drive/card reader for copying images to whilst on holidays. I could have used it on my recent holiday.

The parcel may have been dropped or crushed but for whatever reason, the hard drive inside it is not being recognised. So, effectively, the unit is unserviceable.

I don't know if I should raise a claim on PayPal on the basis that the item was not sufficiently well packed by the seller. If I intend to do so, I must do it by tomorrow as the period of grace ends then.

I put in a PayPal claim for a partial refund and the seller agreed immediately. Looking again at the pix he posted in the advert and the manual I downloaded plus what I see on the screen, I'm convinced it had a dead hard disk in it when it was photographed and sold.

With the partial refund, I bought a new 500MB 2.5" SATA drive today to replace the dead 120MB and now have it up and running.
