The biggest problem I have is explaining to people that it is not a Defender and it is not a County, it is a base model Land Rover 90.
****e! i get that with mine and its 2004! i told the boss i had to take the 90 for a service, he asked why i wasnt doing it myself, i said its under warrenty!
his reply was ohh i thought it was an old one you built up

I've seen heaps... well ok... 4 Land Rover Defender 90's where I live (Gladstone QLD) and a few of you lot here also have 90's, whats with that? are they cheap to import? and I'm guessing they don't have any problems meeting Australian compliance.
one of them most likley be a red/maroon one with black flairs??
its a 2003 extreme, owned by a bloke at callide power station in biloela.
im coming up there next month! i might have to chase them down and get them on aulro

    cheers phil

There's one here in Geelong, pretty sure it's an Extreeme, it's black with a white roof (I couldn't get a white roof when I bought the 110 Extreeme)

It's number plate is ORCA which I thought was quite fitting - not sure if it's someone on here?!

Callide power station is 100Km's or there abouts inland, Biloela is slightly inland again. I haven't done any jobs out at the power station for a long time, but that would make 5 !!!

But of course now I'll be looking for it, got a job to do tomorrow at the coal mine next door then down to Taroon to do a job.

    Best regards

I used to get that with my yellow SWB Series 3, "nice game" ...no it's not a Game, "but it's yellow" ... yes it is yellow, but not all yellow Landies are a Game (not that there was anything special about a Game).

So Land Rover 90 but not a Defender or County, so round that "County" era though then? What engine is in it, the last of the old 4's the diesel was a "Turbo D" is that right? before the 200TDi?

    Best regards

Had I known how rare 90's are over here, I'd have bought an XS a year before we emigrated just so I could have bought it with me. Looked for ages for one, then bought a 110, then saw a 90 in the paper a week later. Oh well...good or bad, at least I have room for the kids in the 110.

    Darren,
It's an 84 which had a 2.5 petrol, until I blew it up. As I have explained many a time, County actually refers to the trim specification. They had carpet and cloth seats as well as more sound deadening, and there were Series 3 Counties, and Defender Counties as well, mine was a base model, the seats looked like they were straight out of a series 3.

I bought capping for the 110 wagon from Landrover. It cost about $300 for both sides from memory. Pretty reasonable I thought.
