maybe thats why cougar bourbon become so popular

No the reason thats popular is because it's cheap, and has an ad containing a girl with 'uge jubblies (something the average cheap bourbon drinker would appreciate)

    Another big cat sighting.

Was part of a crew that hosted a major exercise a couple of years ago up on the cape york (and this was reported in the RAAF news).
Three young Adgie's and one dog handler were running an observation over a gravel stockpile area that was skirted by a watercourse.

It was a story full of detail and quotes, but basically these men sore what they believed to be a very,,,, very,, large cat shadowing them as they moved around the watercourse. The first night it was just the three Adgies that were followed up the water course. That night they all(after a while) just took the ****t out of each other for being wallys. They had there NVG gear and have sound training in this type of activity(shut up all you soldiers on here...and stop laughing). They put it down to spooks/hype and a freaky pig or something.
The second sighting they had the doggy with them and the sighting was convincing to them. The thing made no attempt to stalk them, it kept a safe distance but let it be known that it was there. when the men took up there digs for the night the cat took up roost on top of pile and watched the men. They reported that this thing was a cat, it moved like a cat it, lay like a cat, it scared the bejesus out of them. After a period the thing came in for a closer look and the dog was reported to have moved behind its handler and adopt a very defensive prone(bloody hero).
These blokes all swear blind it was a big cat, not domestic or feral, but a big cat. The blokes are normal blokes not prone to mental illness(apart from being Adgies) and a dead set sure of what they have seen. I mean even knowing all the ribbing and ****t taking they were going to get, they still reported it officially.
They took a photo of the prints it left and sent them off etc etc.

Then two months later a civie enviro said he had seen what he thought was a huge cat in the same area. He was not making a statement, he actually was saying how weird illusions are when you are out alone at night in the bush and that he had to check himself because he "thought had seen a big cat stalking him" I laughed and bagged him, thinking he was ****tin about the story. But he was serious. he had not heard about the story...........weird I reckon. weird enough that I didn't walk around so comfortably up there anymore.

The study of mystery animals is called Cryptozoology.
As for the existance of large cats I will give my two bobs worth.
Pinjarra WA 1991, Went with my neighbour shooting foxes around a free range egg farm. My father being an old country boy told us to get the foxes seal all holes along the fencelines except one and sight your rifle down wind from the entry points.
The night was very successful shot 6 foxes just after dark. When all of a sudden the chooks go beserk. I saw something large and dark climb back over a 8ft chainlink fence and then jump onto and over a neighbouring retic shed!!. This thing was so quiet we did not know it was there until it was on top of the fence.
Second time fishing for salmon at 100kms West Esperance and saw a large black cat come down fron the dunes about 1 km away from us and rummage through another fishing parties spot where they had just left.
Had no binos but it was big and when we drove up to have a closer look we followed the tracks up into the scrub. The paws were bigger than my German Shepherd Cross??
Have seen lots of feral wildlife but these would be 50cm at the shoulder and long tailed??
Both times I was sober and I am open minded and still recall it with the other witnesses.
Both areas have histories of big cat sightings.

So I might get to see one in this part of the country.
Have not heard any cat stories down this way. Will have to ask some of the farmers and enviros. At 100kms west of Esperance sounds like Munglinup area. Some dusk trips may be coming up.

But wasn't your German Shepherd crossed with a Chiahauha (spelling wrong I know).

Well I know Im going to regreat telling you all this but.....i have seen one!

I will be wasting my time telling you all the long story but when I was on a school camp in the Grampians (Vic Valley).

I dont know the full story re how it got there and I dont care because we saw the thing as plain as day at about 100-150m. that is me and two mates, all three of us were 17.

We were walking into a slight head breeze , came over a small rise overlooking a slop towards the edge of the bush., and there it was between us and the bush.......dont know who got the bigger shock, us or it. We looked at each other or a few seconds then it was off into the bush.

No I wasnt on drugs, or drunk, no Im not a nutter, or anything else, Im the type of person that doesnt beleave it until I see it myself......and I dont beleave in god but I beleave in the Puma..........

Also later that night we found a large roo torn in half with some large footprints near by in soft dirt. The bottom half of the roo was gone and marks could be seen when it was dragged away, and steam was still coming from the top half of the roo, ie was a very cold night.

After this the teacher's paniced and called of the night navagation off and went back to camp.......

So there you go, you cant get a straighter bloke than me, but thats what happend.......Let the **** storm start
