You might want to reconsider. Depending upon the sale price, I bet you would have allot of buyers. How much variation could there be in the Ashtray hole anyway?

Yeah and if you made the slot bit tapered than there would be no problem.

If you look inside the "shoe" inside the dash where the mount slides in you will see the orange plastic insert that hangs down where the dash top screws in. this is what holds the mount so tight, it bends and puts pressure on the mount tongue. the camera is the bottom of the line panasonic nv-gs27, it gives a very good picture and cost me NZ$444.00 delivered, so is not too dear, and yes the bonnet goes up and down because the anti-shake in the camera tries the keep the horizon at the same level.

This is something I've been considering for a long time, glad the topic come up.

Perhaps it's worth putting something in Projects and Tutorials?

No obvious mounting pozzies on the Disco dash. Looked at commercially available suction mounts but at $300+, pretty expensive. Even to hire one, avg price is $80 per day.

I was looking at making mine fit into the demister slots in the dash, but decided against it as we use our heaters over here and I didn't want to cook the camera. You guys might not have this problem

Yeah do 2 more vids - pick a varied track somewhere and do 2 laps. One with anti shake on and one with it off.

What angle is the piece of metal bent to ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
