    I get sides of lamb for about $5 a kg. Good mince is about $11 for 2 kgs.
    Local bananas are about $2 a kg (and taste like bananas, unlike those huge things from FNQ).
    Avocados are 10 to 40 cents each from the many roadside stalls.
    A farmer up the road grows corn, 50 cents a nice fresh cob. And when his pumpkins are ready they go for about $3 for a big fella.
    Just wish I could get good apples for a reasonable price, we get thru about 40 a week...
