Hill drove for Williams. Also Brabham, Jordan and Arrows but won the title with Williams.

The hot rumours of who is The Stig is either Damon Hill or Jensen Button.

In a Dutch TV interview he actually spoke and sounded like Button.

There is also talk that he is a few different drivers, when the Renault F1 car was driven over the course it was Heikki Kovalainen.

For those of you who think he is wearing leather you cannot be The Stig as you would know it is a fireproof material called Nomex.

    Multiple Stigs

There is actually several people who play the part of "The Stig" Thay have indeed been British Touring Car drivers, Le Mans drivers and others. But it is not one person.

My brother is involved with the speedworx Ginetta team in the UK and has met a couple of people who have donated their services to Top Gear as The Stig in the past.

I am the Stig, if you want me to prove it give me your car and I will race it around the nearest race track to your home. Insurance and all cost are the owners expense.

The accuracy of wikipedia is unquestionable
obviously not quite right as it doesn't include any of the stigs from here

The stig is saw on the last episode was a little bit chubby, the obvious sign of a well heeled ex race driver, sounds like Alan Jones

Wouldn't it be funny if it was Stirling Moss?

I got a shirt like that for Christmas but I can't say it's done anything to improve my driving.

I think they change... although having said that, the music he/she plays is fairly consistent, making it seem like its always the same person. Either way, he is ONE FAST driver!

So .... NO it's not him.

I daresay it's a number of different people.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
