    Rains!!

You can tell it's raining again here in Brisbane. Walked into the house with wet feet and a wet leg. Wet feet from the natural drainage holes hidden behind the dashboard and a wet leg from having to have the window slightly ajar to stop the windows from steaming up.

Good to hear rains again on the tin top!

Rain? It's all we ever get up here in Coolum - we're only 100 km's from Brisbane.

Been going hard since Saturday morning
Drove down to Bris Sat arvo, there it was overcast but no rain.
Left Sun evening, still overcast and still no rain.
Got back home, it was still raining, hadn't let up all weekend.

Good thing we're getting water restrictions, hey?
Edumacate the aqua squanderers among us...

Hmmm... all this rain has highlighted a problem with my new rainwater tank - that is that the downpipe that leads to it isn't much of a performer. I'm going to have to hook up another when I get back

I think you mean cubits! (cubit= an ancient measure of length approximately equal to the length of a forearm. OED)

No rain here, but there was a bit of light cloud yesterday.

    G'day Folks

Well I have checked the rain gauge here a Uncle Ho Manor's and the overnight tally is 38mm (1 1/2 inches) and still drizzling
we just need another 12 inches over the next 10 days, to make any type of difference to the water table

    cheers
