I have turned down the offer. In reality a decent Defender will cost between 20 - 40 thousand. Now spending a lot less will get my SIII all coiled up and rebuilt, probably have change for lockers, winch and goodies as well, I then have the ability to have a convertable. And have change.
If she wants it black there's a paint roller in the shed.
Damn I was going to sell you mine for $150,000. Oh well back to work on Monday.

How do you get your wife that drunk nothing I have tried works??After a shock decision by my wife (while she was drinking)
I rather doubt it was on the release of the Model T - seeing they were available in a variety of colours until about 1912 when Ford really started to get the production line process going. Also, in the face of competition with different colours, the last couple of years of production were also available in a variety of colours.

The TV show I watched said that black was the quickest drying paint at the time so they chose black as the standard colour.
They also said it was the model T.
This article sheds a different light but who trusts Ford\Land Rover anyway? http://www.modelt.ca/background-fs.html
