So you don't bother gutting them then, as you would a deer? Good - loads of effort saved, I like that idea! :D

This isnt really the place for RSPCA, vegans, tree huggers or anyone with extreme veiws on humor.
I dont really think you should have shown her the website if you knew that she is of these sorts of extreme veiws.
Buy the way, best way to skin a cat is much like a rabbit, but never do it to your next door neibours cat as some people take offence when you nail it to the fence to dry out.(It wasnt me, was a bloke I worked with who lived next to an active member of the so called "Cat preservation society" and had 21 cats living at their house. Cat ate bird, cat was killed and skinned and mate was taken to court, 19 cats were found new homes or humanly put down. Mate got told not to do it again).
This has been a good laugh but not because of cats, it's a pitty that your post ended up supplying a laugh at your wifes expense.
I think Vlad who posted the 101 ways to skin a cat is a Moderator anyway isnt he? He obviously didnt find it offensive.....
You know, the short sightedness or blinkered view of some of the do-gooders never ceases to amaze me.
Back in England, a mate who is a keen shooter lived on a farm that had lambs & sheep among other things. Right next to one of the boundaries was a piece of waste land where the local RSPCA lot released all their "nursed back to health" foxes. After shooting the first couple and identifying them as RSPCA ones due to the surgical stitching still in place that had not yet rotted away, he politely asked if they'd mind releasing them somewhere else, as he could well do without a steady supply of foxes being dumped within sniffing distance of a good food source provided by him...anyway, long story short, they effectively said they had every right to release them where they were and would continue to do so. So, he continues to shoot them, as he has every right to do when they venture onto his land!
You'd think a little common sense would prevail, and that if they genuinely gave a toss about the actual foxes, then having been informed of what fate awaited them, they might think about putting them somewhere out of range of a .223 they knew was looking for them....
funny thing i just remembered is i own an ISP called cats.net.au :P
