ps a ''demo saw and a diamond blade would be the best! but you can also use said demo saw and a masonary cutting disc(like a grinding disc) i dont like the idea of a 9'' the demo saw is way more stable.

    cheers phil
demo saw [concrete cutter] yes would be more stable if the concrete pipe was on the ground but been off ground level ,it is dangerous use ,and using a grinding disk to cut concrete is even more dangerous,[and you hire these tools out ] a 9" with a diamond blade will be just fine and the safest

Anyone used a circular saw with a masonry/diamond blade?
I did for years, before buying my Stihl, but I was mainly cutting brick walls for Air Conds. Only used masonary discs though, & what a bloody mess it made!

Buggered up 1x 9" Makita saw over years.

IVe seen electric (least i assume they were electic), water cooled bladed jobbies that hang on a chain from a hoist (more usually a vehicle mounted crane) It looked to have a 12-15 inch blade on it and was in a rotating cradle. I have no idea whod have one to hire but ID imagine this would be your best bet.

    now read it again

but you can also use said demo saw and a masonary cutting disc(like a grinding disc)
where did i say USE A GRINDING DISC!!!
a masonary cutting disc IS for CUTTING MASONARY eg, concrete and stone.
and a demo saw wouldnt be dangerous to use, they come with guide wheels on their base and a side handle so it can be opperated on its side, fancy that? so once the cut was started the disc/blade would hold the machine in place and the wheels would stabilise the rest.

how much more stable do you want it? he sid it was in the ground? so unless ''the ground'' is quick sand ide say it wont move?

i suggested a masonary cutting disc because they are quite cheap. $5-$15each as compaired to a diamond disc of the same size! i have a 9'' dry diamond disc in the shed with a price tag of $258!
so for a one of job a throw away masonary disc would do.

There is no use of telling people to use tools which could be potetial fatal if you know nothing about safe use of it ,keep that for your own fate,
