Thread: can't afford fuel..... give up smokes

Well just thought I'd pop back into this thread and say that on December 5th last year was the last smoke I had.

I think early on in this thread I said I was trying to give up but then went back to it for a bit or maybe there was another smoking thread but I havnt touched them since december and I feel much better for it.

Takes a bit to get your head around but once you do it is all good nothing bad.

When I saw this linked, I went through every post to see if one of my previous.....I'm quitting attempts were there....on this occasion there wasn't. The better half and I were looking at some old video footage we took when we first started going out ( and no....not that type of footage). There I am saying that I was going to quit on the 1st of October...........that was 7 yrs ago. Maybe if there is enough of us, we sort out a quit date in the next cuppla weeks ( give time to get head around it) and we do it at the same time and detail the process as part of an outlet.....i.e Im sure some of us could have a barny over the withdrawals . Perhaps even an interim section for those that are quitting. Good idea?

Hey, its probably better that we take it out on each other as opposed to our families ...could have Inc set up a mudpit style section for those quitting to vent and seek support at the same time. Will put up in General and see what the response is like,

We had a 12 week health and well being push at work this year. I went in at the start with high stress and blood pressure. I did nothing where everyone else wont of the de stress seminars and exercise sessions. I was one of the healthiest at the end.

though work would prefer if I ate lunch.
