Smoked for 10 years gave up 7 years ago, best thing I ever did. Found the first 3 months the hardest. You have to make sure if you really want to give up you don't have a big night on the drink in this period.

I'm with you there, NM. I could count the number of smoking-related lung cancers I've seen on one hand and still have enough fingers left to hold a ciggie. But emphysema, short of breath on an oxygen mask - I can't think of a worse way to live or die. Like taking 5 years to drown

Of all of the addictions there is for humans it appears to be the most stupid. apparently just as hard to quit as heroin, and what do we get out of it? stained fingers, limbs rotting of from lack of blood circulation and drowning in our own fluids................ Oh yay pick me sounds like fun........NOT

and to cap it off affects eye sight, taste and sex - who wants to kiss an ashtray.

nup better things to do with my time than smoke.

And yeah, this scares the *#&% out of me.... I hate the feeling when lumbering around the plant.

I know its the smoking too, because when I ran out one morning I didnt have one till after the end of shift.

That day it was so much easier to make the 6 floor climb to the Palput that the Castor Op sits in....

I think its time to give it a damn good go.....

Hardest thing when quitting smoking is a pub/club....

Drink + Smoke + Chat go hand in hand to a smoker....
