    day 2

Overslept this morning till nearly 8, took untill almost 9 for the patch to do it's thing, but other than that I feel better than yesterday, so things look rosy so far.
VERY nearly relented and had one brekky smoke waiting for it to kick in but of course the cycle has to be broken completely - just 1 smoke and I'm right back where I started. Physically the patches are most definetly a help, leaving the mental aspect to wrestle with separately. It obviously very much depends how heavy you smoke. Put it this way, much as I hate tailors, when I have had them a regular full strength Malboro/Winfield Red or something doesn't do it for me.

Dobbo if you start to struggle, get some patches or lozenges at a servo.
    Crump do it now mate.

twitchy and i gave up the smokes when i got pregnant with my daughter and now i have my kids as motivation not to take it up again...... although when i drink i still want one. it's hard for the first few weeks but it gets easier.if you fall off the wagon a few times don't beat yourself up about it just keep going and don't give up. If you can't do it cold turkey then just try to cut them down by one or two each day until you aren't having any....or call the quit line!! the number is plastered all over the place where you buy your ciggies. now my biggest addiction is chocolate.

    it's a long long road

Mornings are difficult and evenings are the hardest but making progress.
I left in a rush this morning and forgot to fit a new patch.
Luckily SWMBO has a few days off while her folks are in town so she dropped one off to me at work - saving grace.
I had to hold out till after 1000 on my own mettle but it was bearable because I knew my fix was coming
I can tell you, the patches definitelty make a noticeable difference...
