I do all my banking etc through HSBC, they provide motor vehicle insurance through Vero and the prices are very very good. I am currently with RACV but I'm going to change over to Vero through HSBC in a months time. One thing to check though is whether Vero cover off road and accessories etc, something I am still yet to do.

    I'm with NRMA.

You need to check the small print and specifically ask whether you'll be covered for off-road use as some I found when I was looking don't.

NRMA cover you for off-road use provided "...the vehicle is being driven within its capabilities..." or summat like that.

So if you come unstuck they can argue that it was not within its capabilities !

I've a 99 disco V8 living in Camden NSW and found that VERO was the cheapest of the 6 that I rang (NRMA,GIO,Allianz,AAMI,Shannons,QBE) mine is currently not modified and once it is it will cost more...for some reason they don't like raised suspension.

CGU - no excuses, no problems - just a cheque!

I had Vero on the Defender when I rolled it - I don't know what was worse, the injuries I suffered or the battle with Vero. It was a nightmare.
