Good to know about the straight fit. I'll chat to the bloke I know about a 3.54 Stage 1 rear end from the vehicle he's stripping. Hopefully it won't be too exxy. I assume that a Stage 1 Salisbury rear axle assembly would bolt straight in.
Re the SIIA, I'll run it on 4.7 diffs at this stage. It's not important to have 3.54 diffs for the general use that I plan for it.
I'm getting more enthused about a body-off restoration. I knew I shouldn't have stopped off at Dinty's a few weeks back.
My wife is gunna kill me. I suppose I can tell her that it's cheaper than getting a mistress - sorry NM.

G'day P38arover
The Salisbury will bolt straight in as a Drum to Drum set-up, as the chassis is just a Series 3 unit, and mounts are the same, the rear tailshaft might need to be shortened as the Salisbury pinion nose is longer, it might be worth trying to get the front brake assembly (backing plate and drum assy)if the price is right, as they will come in handy for yours (same 3" drum /brake assy) also the brake pedalbox/mastercylinder and booster is interchangeableIf you vehicle has not got the Booster fitted (it was optional back then) you will need the R/Hfront guard which has a cut-away section for the booster assy to fit in same as 110's do.
cheers
Thanks for that info, UncleHo. We'll see what happens.
Now, I finally got up the nerve to tell Elisabeth.
When we came home from coffee this arvo, I said, "I see the bloke across the road had got rid of his Landy." and left it at that.
A couple of hours or so later I said "You love me, don't you?"
She said "No! What have you done?"
"Well, the bloke across the road gave me the Landy."
"I don't believe you. Where is it?"
"In the garage."
"I don't believe you. It wouldn't fit and you wouldn't be so stupid! "
"Don't I always tell you the truth?"
"No."
She hasn't gone out for a look. One can only do so much.

Gee Ron you are a brave man.
But then you can claim you were clearing out some of the stuff to make up for it.
Just show her this photo Ron and tell her "this could be us".
If she doesnt melt at the sight of a series trayback then divorce her.
(hope she doesnt pick its a s3 not a s2)
