i wouldn't dismiss Ken O'keefe's opinion so redily.
your "opinion" of what's safe and what is actually safe according to ADR's are probably 2 different things.
after 30 or more years building suspension systems for 4wd's and competition vehicles including race cars, he has built a good reputation from quality products and good advice.

I had lunch with Ken O'keefe about 1.5 years ago and chatted suspension. This is a man that knows his suspension, and I guess so you would expect considering the business. Keith has experience in setting up Disco2's that are relatively high (4" lifted - not mine)

    But

I've done 4" and I thought it was pretty safe, as did the RTA engineering signatory. The problem I think it that when you get too high with the Disco2, the roll from the rear of the vehicle induces mid corner instability as/afer the weight or roll has shifted and it brings in twitchiness when braking/driving also. The fix though is by running longer rear sway links on the rear which levels it out.
    Cheers
