    Wow! Especially as the same eBay seller has a 2000 4.6 HSE Rangie for only US$11,800 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Land-...QQcmdZViewItem). Seems like Rangies don't hold their value even half as well as a Defender

    i recall reading an article in LRO quite a few years back that the Yanks LOVED the early 'Fenders because of their simplicity and (i think) lack of airbags?? ..but i think that might be a misprint, still it's a pretty big misprint.

    Don't forget we are talking a country where you can't buy a newer one than that. Americans who have caught the LR illness have been known to import rusty old British machines with great joy and thankfulness.

    Still, the price does seem a little higher than even a lack of supply would dictate.
