SubscriberOK, here's a question.....was searching out OME info on the Exhibition Exchange site and noticed they are far cheaper for ARB stuff than here, even allowing for the fact prices are US$. What gives - thought ARB were Austrlian? I can handle paying more for UK stuff which gets imported, but less for Aus stuff which has (presumably) already been exported? Am I missing something?

Jeff Supply only airlockers are pretty cheap but you need some cool tools and a lot of expertise to fit them properly
there are guys on this forum that will cough up to how easy they are to install but when you watch those AR B guys do it and check everything at every stage its worth getting them to do it.

I think the price diff is just the standard ripoff (see repco) that happens to us aus vehicle owners... but it sure does wonders for the share price

If ARB was US owned - why then are they listed on the Oz stock exchange? They are Oz owned but have manufacturing plants in the US to cater to the US market.
The cost difference may be due to the US tax structure. I know of a few other imported products purchased in the US are cheaper than in the contry they were manufactured.

Subsidiaries of an international company can be listed on the asx. That is not an indication of who the major shareholders are or where the profits go to. You will notice their American and Australian opperations are kept very seperate for good reason.

ARB is as australian as they come this is the history of it
