You gotta do your research when buying on Ebay, that sellers 5 'positives' gained through $0.99 "buy it now" items was the immediate give away.

Before I buy on Ebay, I look at what they've sold, what they've bought, and cross check to see if they're 'trading' positive feedback. I got ripped off for a low cost item many years ago and at the time I knew something wasn't quite right. So if *any* alarm bells are even hinting at ringing... walk away.

This b******d has taken a lot of money from a lot of people. As he/she was so new to Ebay and had a low feedback rating the Ebay buyer protection scheme doesn't apply.

I sent a PM to the bloke who got the winning bid, to warn him to be careful. Never heard back from him so I wonder what happened in the end.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for that, it has shown me to be more careful. I have used e-bay twice now, but it looks like I have been lucky.

I will now research harder before going through with a deal.

PS from the sounds of things most of you wouldn't buy from me anyway as I have such a low positive rating.

I knew I had seen that pic somewhere before, it is also in the ARB catalogue, exactly the same.

The negatives have only just started coming in. When originally posted over a week ago, he just seemed a bit dodgy. Now it's certain.

Yep, I'd steer well clear of this one. This seller is definitely on the nose.

Of note is the fact that all the goodies he's selling are potential theft items.

The real screamer for me is the Harley Evo motor and the Playstation. Both highly valuable and easily flogged.

    Busted

extract from a massege i received from ebay (after i withdrew from the auction)

The following is a notice from eBay's Trust & Safety team regarding:

    Item number - 270153993486

Item title - ARB Air locker front or rear

Our records show that you were a bidder or buyer of one or more of this seller's items. We recently removed the seller's active listings and suspended their trading privileges. Due to privacy concerns we cannot share further details about this seller.

If the seller asks you to complete this transaction outside of eBay, we strongly recommend you do not proceed with the transaction. Transactions for items listed on eBay but completed off the eBay site are not covered by PayPal Buyer Protection and may be subject to fraud.

I wouldn't worry about low positive feedback, everybody has to start somewhere.

Doing a simple thing like writing your Ebay sellers ID onto a piece of card and making sure it's in the photo's shows people you actually have the goods and haven't simply got a picture off the internet.
