    yes he was

I realise it's bull shyte but think about it. They have a very powerful ray of light that extends from the sabre to approximatelly 1.5 metres in length , then just stops, no refraction, reflection or anything else. Quiggers stated a +3km range if it were an actual weapon what stops it from travelling for an infinate distance?

There was a tree in the way, dobbo

I'm going now, theres a seriously huge truck coming thru and the paper needs some pics of this monster.

Might zap it with the light sabre, eh?

You didn't read the link, did you Dobbo?

They have a powerful ray that extends 1.5m from the handpiece and then returns.

Apparently it took centuries to perfect the loop into the elegent weapon you see today.

Sorry, that you see "long, long ago."

It’s impossible to travel an infinite distance by any means, (light or otherwise) as there is no end to “infinity” it can therefore never be reached.

as for the light sabre, ermm i dunno

traveling an infinite distance really means that it never stops. In an ever expanding universe light from the first seconds of the big band must be at the edge of the universe?

As for the light sabre since it was made by jedi knights I guess they must have access to technology that is beyond the known physics that we have, since light lazer etc will travel until it is blocked by something. Thats the trick bit about the sabre stops without the aid of any sort of end?

Umm I have a hard enough time keeping my landrover going so I might just lay down now

If it turns back on itself at the end of the lightsabre how do they stop it from cutting off your hand on the way back down?

It is theoretically possible to bend space/time; and if your a large enough body you do it anyway.

I daresay they've developed some way of mimicking gravity and curving the space at the end of the beam back onto itself.

Of course, the energy levels required would be phenomenal, so they must have also developed a power source capable of such a task.

Unless of course, the entire sabre is simply a quantum event and the beam comes into existence out of nothing and ceases to exist a metre later. After all, we can really only know of the probability of it's existence and not it's actual existence.
