    Dont you just hate warranty!

Had an issue with my Waeco involving the low voltage cut out.Asked around here to make sure that was the problem, arranged transport to the dealer 3 hours away and sent a big list with it so they could test it for what I had found.A month later it arrives back, I plug it into the car and the EXACT same thing happens immediately, not overnight as it used to before I sent away.I have checked all the possible parameters with the vehicle and wiring, voltage again and none of them have changed since before I sent it away.I know they never even looked at it, makes you wonder why you bother.

I generally put some nail polish on the edge of some of the screws if I send anything like that back for warrantee. You can make it obvious by putting red, or whatever OR you can just put a very tiny amount of clear on one side of a screw that they must unscrew to look at it.
Did that once, they said they fixed said article, it didn't work on recieption, I took out magnifying glass and showed sales rep it was never opened. The boss came out, gave me a rise saying why do I do things like that, dont I trust them, etc etc. I told him I don't trust anyone and there's proof why. .
Send it back at their charge

    Crump...

Grab a multi meter and check your wiring...

Verdegris may have formed on any of the connections in the vehicle, including the terminal of the battery where you cant see it between terminal and connector.

You could have mud etc in there somewhere, or just a crappy connection through the fuse!

then check the voltage at the plug where it would go into the Waeco.... It may be the battery isnt so happy anymore, or that the connection is "hot" with high resistance where it plugs into the vehicle causing voltage drop through resistance.

Mine did this also.. Waeco took a look....
All good (got their cyclic test report)

Plugged it back in and it was still failing...

Turned out to be the earth on the socket itself in the vehicle

My Engle never has any problems with low Volt Cut out.... its before the age of electronics in fridges, It's so old the R12 Refrig gas charge weigh in is ounce's.

Drowned 2 times and still working... the Vibration of the Defender keeps it running i think....

U are not alone, just give the drum and say fix the friggin thing or u will get more bad publicity then they could handle, the amount of guys onthis site and a good percentage would be off roaders who would like to keep stuff cold, this neg publicity is bad for them sales wise and doesnt say much for the product either, run the product must be of merchandisable quality line, stick it too em , u pay big bux for a fridge like this u last thing u want is a lemon, I have a silmilar drama with a genset at the moment thet refuses start know matter how big the stick is I hit it with, really gives u the rats I tell u.

Our Waeco does it as well, nothing wrong with the fridge, it is deffinatly the wiring as when I put the multi on the connections, I get 14v while running at the back and then even with good battery connections and 12.8v at the battery, I only get 11.4v at the fridge wiring.

I know I have to upgrade the wiring, I just havnt got around to it.

You need to check the voltage under load, even if you plug a light or something into it and test the voltage, that will show you more than just checking it at the start or the end but any difference in voltage from start to finish will be heaps more under load.

I would put money on there being nothing wrong with the fridge.

Engle fridges are over priced and not what they used to be.

10 years ago, you wouldnt have bought anything else but now they just have a different box around them.

Waecos are much better value but not really any other pluses over the others except they dont dent.
