ch10 was nominated by the national association to be the 4WDers channel but it hasn't really taken off. Most people just pick a channel on the day for car-car and change up or down one notch if it gets busy.
I was told when in WA that there was a state LR channel. It would be great to get that going in QLD.![]()

The Sydney Landrover Owners Club uses channel 13 as the club channel. If we are in an area such as the deserts where a specific channel is recommended such as channel 10 then we go to that whilst in that area.
Of course it is always possible to set your uhf so that you are on a particular channel to send and receive but to then also be scanning/monitoring other channels in case something comes across and alerts you that there is info that you may want to be aware of.
Cheers,
Cameron
I just scan across all 40 uhf and monitor 5/15 on the am and vice versa if i have to work more with the AM band.
When Its a club meet then I work on whatever channel the runs on and maintain the scan.
