I've considered mounting a second battery near the SLS compressor or in the rear bin(don't have third row seats)
Any coments from people who've installed batteries in either of these positions?
If you restrict the size to 55 or 60AH it will be OK next the the ABS modulator, BUT if you have dual air it can't be done, you'll need to move the jack and turn the starter battery around and do 2 batteries side by side.
    LIKE THIS

    MINE IS LIKE THIS

I took that battery out as it was too big and it was a lead acid battery DON'T USE A LEAD ACID BATTERY, get a AGM or GEL type one around 55 to 60AH if putting it here.

Go for 245/75/16 in the tyres they will fit with no lift, then when your ready, go for a 2 or 3" lift this can be done with off the shelf springs and shocks.

    And your done

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

For the sake of the mechanic who works on your TD5 Disco, DON'T put a second battery near the turbo, behind the ABS modulator. It makes getting to the spin on oil filter a right pain in the backside!

I have seen a Disco with diesel gas, air compressor and battery all mounted there, luckily we weren't servicing it!

Sealed gel cell inside the rear with the fridge with a Drivesafe controller/anderson plugs(my intended solution to the heat problem plus a battery on the trailer).Only need to run the 2nd(3rd) battery when the fridge is fitted, trailer towed.
Go the big CAT (Caterpillar) 1000cca main battery, big power for a reasonable cost, fits in the original spot.
